Partnership with TU: Epic Theatre Ensemble and Talent Unlimited High School have been in partnership since September 2001. All Epic/TU Projects place value on student development as socially aware, community-involved artists. Epic and TU have implemented a sequential Citizen Artist program that reaches every student in every grade. This sequence includes Epic’s Journeys, Making History & Off -Broadway programs. Epic has been awarded the prestigious Empire State Partnership from the New York State Council on the Arts for its partnership with Talent Unlimited High School, a public Performing Arts high school in Manhattan.
Talent Unlimited High School, (TU) located on the Upper East Side, is a creative community resource. Students begin with innate talent, and come from all five boroughs to become part of the TU family that allows them to grow in new and exciting ways. The school culture is vibrant and rich, drawing from a tradition of excellence for over twenty five years. This history, along with an ongoing commitment to staff and student collaboration, has brought us to this moment in time where creativity, commitment and collaboration converge in the learning environment. Students follow a rigorous, sequential curricula over a four year period, that give them a strong foundation for college and career.
